Sam is a writer and editor. They have contributed to publications including The Guardian, Frieze, Wallpaper*, Dazed, and more. They are the author of books including All my teachers died of AIDS (Pilot Press, 2020), and Search history (Queer Street Press, 2023). They are one of the co-curators of TISSUE, a trans literary event series and publishing initiative based in London.

Their writing explores the intersections between culture, history, and the self, and is often animated by what it means to embody or explore spaces that exist in-between - artistic, formal, personal - binaries.
