Born in Vietnam, raised in Canada, and now based in London, KV brings a rich transnational background to his artistic practice. His multidisciplinary approach spans painting, sculpture, installations, and performance, all meticulously crafted to reflect personal experiences and cultural intersections.

KV's academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2003, where he received the WS Wilson Medal for ranking first in his graduating class. He then pursued a Master of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto, completing it in 2005. In 2024, KV completed an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London, where he delved into latex as a medium, exploring its historical ties to French colonial rubber plantations in Vietnam.
